If you've had trouble accessing your emails through gmail.com today, were unable to watch funny cat videos on YouTube, couldn't find your way on Google Maps, or couldn't access your files on Google Drive then you weren't the only one.

In a fairly rare event, many of Google's services went offline today, just before 12pm GMT today.
The issue, reported by mainstream news sites such as BBC and the Guardian, affeted millions of users worldwide and also affected Google-connected smart devices such as home speakers.
It appears that Google's services are now back up and running.
This goes to show that even one of the biggest companies in the world can have blips sometimes; which does make us feel a bit better when much smaller companies like us have the occasional blip!
