Chalet White

Chalet White grew out of Giles' and Lucy's love and respect for the wild places of the world, the different cultures, tastes, colours and styles that they have encountered through their travels. They are fascinated by mixing materials; exotic lacquers of the East with the beautifully patinated woods of the West, gorgeous hand woven textiles with ancient bronzes, colourful glass and ceramics with antique furniture's rustic or painted and natural surfaces enriched with the beauty of age. These elements they infuse into inspiring homes be it a glamorous riad, ski chalet or chic metropolitan apartment to make each home unique.

Hill-Stone

Hill-Stone are private dealers in prints and drawings from the 15th century to the early years of the 20th century. Founded more than thirty-five years ago by Alan N. Stone in Northampton, Massachusetts, the firm moved to New York in 1980 and relocated to South Dartmouth, Massachusetts in 2013. Lesley Hill is, as the name of the firm suggests, the other principal. As private dealers, Mr. Stone and Ms. Hill have pursued interests somewhat apart from the traditional canons of taste. While they have always maintained a strong interest in German prints of the Renaissance and Dutch prints and drawings of the 17th century, it is the art of the 16th century in Italy, France and the Netherlands that they have chosen to explore more fully. Their other great interest is the art of the later 18th and early 19th centuries with a specific concentration on Romanticism and Neoclassicism in all its national manifestations. Their passion for the curious and the arcane is, if it be a fault, one to

Henry Nicholls Antques

Henry began selling antiques when he was eight years old. He would rummage through the clutter at his Grandmothers’ house, then search out and then sell anything that caught his eye (of course, his mother took a cut!). He then graduated to helping at school fetes which, in the 1970s, were a great way for the parents and grandparents to get rid of their old junk. Of course, that’s where Henry hunted for anything he liked the look of.

Both companies have grown over the years and, for us the options to be able to lift the phone and discuss an idea or a problem with Rob or any of his delightful team is invaluable . Rob has a grasp on what antiques dealers need from a website and all the other services that Ph9 offer make it the ideal package for any dealer."

"After my website of 20 years, crashed, I was struggling to build a new one with a Wordpress package but found they were not suitable to retailing large single item inventories. I was recommended to PH9 by Appleby Antiques. Within an hour of my initial email from Sharlotte at PH9, I had received log in details and was building my new site. The templates offered by them are simple enough to use by a novice but versatile enough to create something special. I have been delighted with the results. In addition there are many useful applications built into the design like stock count and email marketing. Furthermore any query sent to Sharlotte in particular, was replied and if needed, actioned in one working day. In conclusion I would most definitely recommend PH9 for anyone in the antiques business"

From simple European hemps woven by farmers in the dark winter months to provide the fabric of everyday life to the elaborate dowry textiles woven by women in the Chinese Minority groups to celebrate the wedding of a beloved son or daughter. Some of the weaving techniques are dying out as younger generations haven't the patience to learn them. Whilst the designs themselves carry ancestral stories going back hundreds of years which could also be lost. Penny likes to find uses for these textiles so their beauty and craftsmanship can still be admired, either by making them into cushions and lampshades or simply mounting them on a frame as a piece of wall art.

Damian at Cleall Antiques gained an early understanding of all types of Antiques by starting out within an Antiques shop in Richmond, Surrey and it soon became apparent that Damian had a real flare and appetite for the business. After owning himself several Antique shops in London and West Sussex (Petworth and Arundel) he realised his real passion was for stunning Antique French decorative mirrors. Cleall Antiques is now one of the largest suppliers of antique and decorative period mirrors in the country.
